Pan Pastel Soft Knives and Covers, Generic Alternatives
Personal Note:
I’ve been using these for applying charcoal over larger areas, and they’re incredibly helpful for achieving smooth, even coverage. The different knife tip shapes also give you flexibility when working on various edges and details of your artwork.
Worth trying? Definitely!
About Sofft™ Tools:
Sofft™ is a line of modern tools, applicators, and sponges specially designed for use with PanPastel™, but they also work отлично with most water-based art materials. They allow artists to create unique techniques and effects, producing results that differ from traditional brushes since visible brush strokes are minimized. Developed by artists for artists, each Sofft™ Tool was created and refined in the Colorfin lab and studio. They are versatile, affordable, easy to clean, and reusable—ideal for applying, blending, and manipulating color across various mediums.
Sofft™ Covers:
These specially designed covers fit Sofft Knives and Shapers, turning them into absorbent tools that can hold and release color in a distinct way. Made from a unique micropore sponge, they are semi-absorbent and perfect for controlled application.
Sofft™ Knives:
When paired with Sofft Covers, these knives become multi-purpose, absorbent applicators—somewhere between a brush and a palette knife. They are ergonomically designed for comfort and control, made from flexible and durable plastic, and shaped like traditional wooden-handle knives. They can also be used on their own as standard painting knives.
